In June 2021, the Supreme Court of Justice in Mexico sentenced the wrongful legislation of Tabasco regarding who can have access to Surrogacy in the Unconstitutional Action 16/2016 that ended up recognizing Surrogacy as the answer not only to infertility in heterosexual couples, but also as the answer to the Human Right to have a Family for Same-Sex Couples, Single Men & Single Women.
However, this decision comes with underline existing problems, such as the proper legislation of Surrogacy with Local Authorities, like the Civil Registry, whom subjective contemplation of surrogacy requires the existence of a Sentence issued by a Judge to register surrogacy babies.
